Indian dishes. Story of creation: “Why Chicken is 65?” 

"Chicken 65" is a very popular savory snack in India. Pieces of chopped chicken meat are fried in a special marinade (there are many variations of it). This dish first appeared in 1965 in a Chennai hotel under restaurant under No. 65, and thus got its name.

In addition to this official version, there are others: 


1) "Chicken 65" is made from chickens not older than 65 days, as they are believed to have the tenderest meat; 

2) Delicious marinade for roasting pieces of meat needs to be brewed for 65 days; 

3) Some gourmets add up to 65 varieties of hot peppers into the dish; 

4) Chicken flesh is cut into 65 pieces.
