Traditionally an Indian dish "Chicken Tikka Masala" consists of marinated pieces (tikkas) of chicken cooked in Tandoor, a clay oven, and stewed after in a spicy tomato and onion curry sauce with spices.
Actually, there are about 48 different recipes of this dish. As well as still, there are debates about its origin: some researches say that the first "Chicken Tikka Masala" was prepared in Punjab in Northern India, others claim its Pakistani roots.
The Scots came further. According to their version, the dish appeared for the first time in one Indian restaurant menu of Bangladeshi community in Glasgow. In 2009, the Parliament even received an offer to introduce "Chicken Tikka Masala" into the list of the native Scottish dishes!
