Indian food: Rasmalai, refinement in taste. 

Rasmalai is one of the most sophisticated desserts of the South Indian cuisine, which recipe came from West Bengal. A famous confectioner and merchant Krishna Dasa invented it. His confectionary works are still being exported to USA and UK. 


In Hindi, the word "ras" means "juice" and "malai" is cream. This is not surprising, as the delicacy is made of cheese balls with nuts and saffron, and then poured with a creamy sauce.
